Echt slapen op de bank is trouwens bijna onmogelijk in dit huishouden omdat Raffie dan gelijk bij me komt liggen, het liefst pal voor mijn gezicht, eeeek!
Meike is meestal heel erg lief met Raffie maar ze kan hem ook goed achterna zitten.
After a long night, yes Meike was awake almost every hour, and a little nap on the couch this morning whilst Meike was watching tv, we both feel a lot better, woohoo!!
Taking a nap on the couch is almost impossible in this household, because the minute you lay down Raffie is making himself comfortable right in front of my nose, eeek!
Most of the times Meike is very sweet with Raffie but she can chase him all around the house too.
Stemgewijs gaat het ook vooruit en ik kan de kinders weer roepen als dat nodig is ;-).
Omdat een verkoudheid (of de griep) bij mij vaak op mijn stem slaat en ik dus wel eens vaker slecht bij stem ben, vragen Joris en Gemmy of ik het liedje van de "The lions sleep tonight" dan wil zingen, vooral het awimawee stuk. Nu klinkt dat met mijn gewone stem al niet geweldig (zeg maar rustig vals) maar dan klinkt het helemaal nergens meer naar en liggen die twee compleet in een deuk, en nee ze lachen me niet uit hoor, echt niet mam ;-)!
Gelukkig ben ik niet de enige die muzikaal gehandicapt is, het geluid wat Meike voortbrengt op de blokfluit is ook niet van een dusdanig niveau dat je zegt wow. Maar ja zij is pas twee en een half dus dat kan zich nog ontwikkelen, ik daarentegen wordt morgen veertig (au) en heb alle hoop op een muzikale carriere maar laten varen.........
My voice is making progress too and now I can call for the kids when needed ;-).
Most of the times when I have a cold (or the flu) it affect my voice and Joris and Gemmy then always ask me to sing "The lions sleep tonight", especially the awimawee part. Even with my "good" voice it doesn't sound that great (off key is an understatement) but with this voice it really sounds horrible and those two can't stop laughing about it, and no they are not laughing at me, honest mom ;-)!
Luckily I am not the only one here that is musical "challenged", the sound that Meike produces on the flute isn't from such a level that one says wow. But she is only two and a half and can improve herself within the years, I on the other hand am going to be forty (ouch) tomorrow and I have given up any hope on a musical career...............
Gemmy had een creatieve bui vandaag en besloot iets van hout te gaan maken, het is nog niet af, maar ze heeft heel erg haar best gedaan om het houtje door te zagen!
Gemmy was in a creative mood today and decided to make something from wood, it hasn't been finished yet, but she really did her best to saw the wood into bits!
Wat hoor ik nu? Jij slaapt op de bank met Meike voor de TV? Geeft niet hoor, als je ziek bent is dat geoorloofd. Ik ben blij dat je je weer wat beter voelt en dat je niet meer klinkt als Mien Dobbelsteen.
