Ooh jee er is er een ziek....

Het begint nu echt op te vallen; de Mexicaanse griep is in Escharen.
Joris voelde zich vandaag niet zo lekker maar is toch naar school gegaan. Dat kwam ook omdat hij nu net vandaag zijn boekenbeurt had en die persee wilde doen. Zijn hele klas (ja alle tien) is ziek aan het worden, ziek thuis of net weer beter en ja allemaal de Mexicaanse griep!
Ook in de kleuterklas is een derde van de kinderen ziek thuis dat is nu dus een heel leeg klasje. Bij Gemmy zijn er wonderwel bijna geen zieken en zelf is ze gelukkig ook helemaal in orde.
Joris zag er wel erg moe uit na school en had ook duidelijk koorts (daar hoefde je geen eens een thermometer voor te pakken) en hij had verder last van spierpijn, hoofdpijn en pijn in de buik. Hij heeft 's middags dan ook alleen maar op de bank gehangen en tv gekeken, hij wilde zelfs niet naar de voetbal training en dat was voor het eerst!
Meike is niet boos op onderstaande foto, ze is gewoon moe na een dagje kinderdagverblijf zonder middagdutje, volgens mij heeft ze (net als ik) al in oktober de Mexicaanse griep gehad dus ik verwacht niet dat wij nu weer ziek worden (maar ja je weet maar nooit natuurlijk).

It really is getting noticible; the Mexican flue has arrived in Escharen.
Joris didn’t feel well today but went to school anyway. That was also because he had to do a book presentation and he really worked hard for that. His whole class (all ten of them) is getting sick, already sick or on the mend and they all have the Mexican flue!
In kindergarten one third of the children are home sick; it was a very empty class this morning. In Gemmy’s grade, strange enough, almost no one is sick and luckily she is fine herself too.
Joris looked very tired after school and had clearly a fever (you didn’t even need a thermometer to check that) and he has muscular pain, a head ache and pain in his stomach. So all he did this evening was vegetate on the couch and watch TV, he didn’t want to go to the soccer training and that is a first!
And although she looks crossed in the picture, Meike is only very tired after a day at the day care centre and no nap. I think that both Meike and I already had the Mexican flue last October so I don’t expect us to get sick now (but you never really know of course).
